Nov. 3rd, 2005

Dinner on Tuesday night was exquisite, and has given me a few ideas to test out in my own kitchen, and experiment with more garlic. The salad alone has me craving more chevre. Met some really nice people during the evening, and went for a long walk by the river afterwards on the way home. It was a nice warm evening, and I wasn't really cold, even with the breeze running around us.
Something about evening reflections in water always reminds me of the time I spent sitting on deck on my grandparents' boat late at night, unable to sleep, and I would stare into the dark water, and watch the stars dance in the wave's surfaces. In this case, it's city lights.. but still lovely. More unfolding tangential conversation.

The trip back today would have been made in better time, but the construction snag on Rt. 2 kept me from being perfectly on time. Busy night, too, and I'm glad to be home again, not having to drive anywhere until 11 tomorrow. I'll go up to VT and grade comics for several hours, then head back down here and see what's going on. I can certainly use the funds.

Friday this week is Gallery Walk night, and as long as I have a member worker to help me, I won't go nuts. It's always the craziest night in the deli, and staying on top of everything is rough when the place is packed. Then I'll drive down to Noho and join my partners in crime for a midnight viewing of Batman. No idea what Saturday holds. Hopefully intense amounts of sleeping.

Time for me to remind my bed just how much I like being in it. *grin*

Later.

a rose or an anemone, flood the

Wine that stands a thousand years
in a jar tastes less mad
than love only one year old.
