Sending good energy and my prayers for strength and peace out to Chuck tonight for his upcoming travels.

Feels good to be home, incense burning, munching on a quart of freshly picked strawberries and catching up on Livejournal entries. Had a pleasant time at Haven last night, then stayed up watching Kinsey until late. Thoroughly enjoyable film, and I appreciate more the contribution to our understanding of sexuality that he made. Reminded me of one of the early 1940's drawings of Wonder Woman, shown snapping the chains of "Prejudice, Prudery and Man's Superiority".

Got a good bit of writing done, as well.. somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 pages. Enough to process some of what's in my head and on my heart, not quite enough to really document recent experiences, just touch on the aftermath. All good, though.
I am truly grateful for the blessings heaped on my head and the loving bonds I share in, and I'm here for the long haul, in whatever capacity.

I have no idea what's on the agenda for tomorrow, besides maybe getting some more of these antiques scanned in, and maybe going to see a movie. The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill is calling to me.. and sounding like a cross between a conure and Emerald. :)

Spent the early part of this evening enjoying waffle fries smothered in cheese with Syd after work. Good night, work went by fast, we had a good conversation over brown water which was unsuccessfully pretending to be coffee and a malted milkshake.

J&A will be gone at Shannon's wedding this weekend, so I'll likely be around in one form or another if people want to make visual confirmation that I do, indeed, still exist.

*hugs and warm fuzzies*

Later.

Why?
Why do we do these things to each other?
In the end, when all our reasons die with us, what's the point?
What is so damn important?
Maybe it's love.
I've seen what happens to people within it...
I've seen what happens without it.
I just never realized how serious the consequences are.
