artemis42Ok, so this commute is probably going to wear on me a bit.. I'm of course annoyed right now, as there's 7 inches of snow on the ground and I have to leave in 45 minutes to drive back up to Brattleboro. Hopefully the highway will be fine. Even my hellish road just got plowed, and it's really not coming down anymore, just some tiny little flakes flying about.
I had originally planned on driving down last night with the carload of my stuff that Jesse was gracious enough to help me load up, then unloading it all into the CT space and then scooting back to VT before the roads and weather got bad.
In reality, it started to snow just as soon as I got the car unpacked, and by then it was 10 pm, and I felt hellishly tired. Driving in snow while tired.. baaad idea. So, I unpacked and put away more stuff, hung out with my mother a bit and went to bed around 3 am. I'm just in the process of getting up now.. I needed the sleep anyway. (And sleeping on the floor of my old place in VT would have been uncomfortable in the extreme.) So.. I'll get some breakfast, feed the feathery ones and head for work around 1:15 or so.. I can usually make it to VT in an hour and 20 minutes, but that's with clear roads doing 70. So I'll give myself closer to 3 hours today, just to be safe and still get there on time.
