Opportunity and fuzz..
Oct. 15th, 2008 05:38 pmKirtan continues to be one of the best things in the universe for me right now, and Monday and Tuesday evening were fantastic. I dug out my ancient cassette recorder and taped on Tuesday, but the warble from the motor made the results a little shaky. Perhaps it's time to investigate digital recording devices.. any suggestions would be welcome.
Spent some good time hanging out and catching up in Easthampton, and I came back up from Tuesday's interview to be greeted by fresh pumpkin apple muffins with a streusel topping that rocked.
The interview with my former manager went great, we caught up for most of it, and she said that she really didn't need to ask me about my strengths or abilities, that I'm more than qualified and I could run the place.. but they do need weekend availability, and I'm committed to the yoga teacher training, so she'll let me know on Thursday. It was a nice boost to feel that she was so confident in me, at the very least.
I stopped into Webs this afternoon on the way back to CT, and while we were talking about my Etsy store, the manager there asked me if I was interested in working for them part-time, and she'll call me on Monday to set up an interview time for Tuesday, so even if the health food store passes, I might have a job opportunity anyway, and one that lets me be an enormous fiber nerd, so I'm happy to wait and see what unfolds.
Tonight I'm making broccoli cheese soup and taking more yarn photos, and Scott will come by to be my official soup guinea pig. Life is good.
Later.

Date: 2008-10-16 12:14 am (UTC)Webs has an online presence, and you can order almost anything they carry through the website or by calling them.
I agree, though.. a local yarn store is an awesome thing.
