Another crazy theme yarn.. Now in Goth!
Jan. 28th, 2007 06:02 pmHe hee. This time it's wool and alpaca, blended together and spun into a thick-and-thin single, then plied with a 100% black alpaca single. Guillotina liked the colors, so this one is for her.

Here's the yarn up close.. I like the subtle shine the alpaca single has.

Also, a big thank you to my pals met through the Handspun Secret Swap.. here are the lovely yarns they sent me.

The top skein is lovely thin 2-ply Coopworth wool, and on the bottom, deep purple mohair. Still wondering to myself what they want to become. The wool needs more puzzling, and I'll probably crochet with the mohair and perhaps try felting it, as 100% mohair wouldn't be elastic enough to knit with easily.
Today is a work day.. we rested yesterday. Henri is hanging out on the futon reading for game theory while I spin, label finished skeins and play records. I'm loving the terrycloth bathrobe that A gave me when we all moved. I live in this thing. I just need slippers. I'm out of socks, and my foots are chilly.
Later.
-Me.
