Stalking my storyline..
Nov. 2nd, 2006 11:27 pmJust over 2200 words as of about 5 this morning. I like writing at night, when Henri's asleep and there's nothing much to distract me. I now have a page of events scribbled down that I want to have happen, and more than a vague idea of the story I'd like to tell. Now I just have to hunker down and tell it. Then I can go back and flesh out bits later.
Got up this afternoon and went over to the studio. Hannelore's moving into the space 2 doors down from her current location, and I went down for an hour or so and helped get the books and some shelving units moved over to the new space. I like the change a lot, and so does she. Better lighting, more open room for looms in the main room, and clearer retail display and spinning wheel space up front, and a private office in the back. I'll go back over either tomorrow or Saturday and help out some more, and then I'll start weaving classes on Wednesday, which I'm looking forward to immensely.
Henri's midterm was today, and he was wiped out when he got home, so I made a tasty tomato, basil, mozzarella and avocado salad for dinner, and I'll make up some strawberry shortcake later. Right now, he's reading Sandman at his desk, having taken the night off, and I've left my spinning and come into the office to knit and hang out. I like how the rainbow yarn is coming out.. not quite what I expected, but now I have better ideas for the next time. I'll post a picture once I've gotten a bit more done.
Later.
