The Great Glass Pumpkin?
Oct. 6th, 2006 02:33 pmThis morning's penguin breakfast was cool, one of the students doing research in the frozen land of Antarctica gave us a slideshow presentation of photos she'd taken during her stay observing and tagging penguins. Penguin chicks are super cute. We must now rent March of The Penguins, as neither of us have seen it, but people were talking about it all morning. I remember when it came out, and people would come into the co-op after having seen it at the Latchis, but I never had the opportunity to actually go while it was still there. C'est la vie.
This afternoon is our last opportunity to visit the Great Glass Pumpkin Patch, which is a display of thousands of handmade glass pumpkins down the street at the Palo Alto Art Center. I'll try to remember to take some pictures to post.
Then there's a barbecue for the Biology department tonight, and a party happening at the Cantor art center on campus.. so we'll see.. might be an interesting Friday night.
Later.
-Me.
