Feb. 10th, 2006

Wednesday was probably one of the more pleasant days in recent memory, in terms of work. I was glad to have taken Tuesday night to hang out in my room, get some writing done and knit for a while. Got up on Wednesday and had a positive visit with the office at the apartment, an energizing staff meeting at the co-op, sort of brainstorming ideas for the future. The evening was busy, even hectic in spots, but things went really smoothly as I found myself in a great, energetic space where I actually wanted to be helping people find what they were looking for and get their odd questions answered.
So nice to leave work in a really good mood for once.

I got confirmation that I'll have coverage to get my shift off and go to see Nine Inch Nails at the end of the month, as well as the thumbs-up that I get to move my Sunday evening shift and work Thursday mornings instead, which is awesome. It will be really nice to actually have the whole weekend off, at least until I leave in the fall.

Got over to the RMV today to get a new license and reregister the car, which cost way too much, but at least it's done. Got some stuff brought over to Noho, watched Smallville with J&A after some absolutely delicious sushi, finished the legwarmers I've been knitting for the past week or so, and Beauty and the Geek, which fills my TV consumption for the week just by itself. I've enjoyed it, but I feel sort of like I need to wash my brain afterwards. So.... came back to Sunderland and watched the first 3 episodes of Neverwhere with Aaron, and now I'm enjoying Henry Rollins' Boxed Life.

I shall attempt sleep before long, and hopefully get up with enough focus to write a bit before leaving for work. I'll get through the evening in the cafe, then come down to meet up with H and snuggle in to sleep. Saturday will be spent hanging out with J&A in Brattleboro for a bit, and then meeting up late with H and J&S after their hike and crashing. Should be a pleasant weekend, nice and low-key, which I'll be grateful for when the moon tide comes in. *sigh*

Later.
