Finally home again...
Jun. 6th, 2005 11:59 pm*sigh*
Might as well just live in my car. It's been a good weekend, if long and difficult in spots. Friday morning's co-op shift went fine, and I managed to get all my errands run, dress picked up and on the highway to CT nearly on time. The wedding was lovely, and raised a host of things I've been pondering since then. Got to spend time catching up with family at the reception that I haven't seen since the late 80's. J was wonderful and gracious company, even if our tolerance levels for catholicism are slightly different. *grin*
I was very tired the next day, having gotten a small amount of sleep in Noho before driving back down to CT for 8am call. Got the lighting adjusted as best I could on that godawful stage and took a nap in the booth, curled up in one of the afghans I had in my car. The shows went fine. I did a bunch of writing during the first show, stopped by the comic shop on my break for another installment of the Lone Wolf & Cub trades, and visited with my mother and my cousins at home before heading back to the evening show.
Drove up to Easthampton for the Jack & Jill, found myself a bit nervous when I got there, for some unknown reason.. but I had a wonderful time and several excellent conversations with people I had not yet become acquainted with. Danced a bit too much, as my upper arms are sore from hanging off the pole, but it's good exercise.
Sunday went by in a sort of blur.. got some erranding done, went to work, came back and crashed in a heap. Slept in a bit this morning, work went fine with the exception of some very strange questions, and now I'm home preparing for sleep.
The rest of the week already looks busy.. Tuesday night's spoken for, I'll probably chill here with friends on Wed. night after work, Thursday I'll be erranding with Mer, work on Friday, and a possible trip to CT to chill with family and friends on Saturday. I just have to fit some eBay work and time for comics grading in there somewhere.
Later.
-Me.
