Games.. and stuff.
Dec. 21st, 2003 01:48 amFriday's Jyhad gathering went quite well. Got back from Amherst around 2, and people started arriving around 3. Worked on decks for a while, and ended up having 3 pretty good games. :)
Radio show went really well this evening.. found some fun stories to read, and there was good banter and a really great phone call. I definitely enjoy the outreach that rfb provides for radical activism, news and discussion.
Finally saw LOTR this evening, and I feel like there's a brick in my head. It was very very pretty and good. More eloquence than that I am not capable of, due to the brick. I'm definitely looking forward to the Extended version release next season. My friends had the pleasure of knowing that I was seeing this story unfold for the first time, so they got to watch me twitch and squeak as frightening things happened. *sigh* I guess I just can't help reacting to films the way I do.
I'm going to go play one more game, see if my Daughters of Cacophony can stand up to Jesse's Malkavian deck.
Later.
-Me.

We get quite a few calls from the locals and an ass-load of chatter from our Net Legion, and it has given me this great sense of comfort over the last year. Sometimes I think that Corruption's Manifesto is the last thread that keeps me tied to my sanity. A week will go by and it'll suck; I'll be stressed out, sick, feeling down or angsty, tired, whatever. And then I go in and hop on the boards, I connect to the people in this town and a score of other towns across the world. And the music flows, it washes over all of the crap that piled up throughout the week. And it soothes, it washes it all away.
