He hee..
Went to Colrain this afternoon, to my aunt's brother-in-law's house.. I had not met Bob and Pam before.. at least not any time that I recall being old enough to recognize. They are awesome. :) Bob works at the Berkshire Brewing company.. lots of beer with dinner. Very enjoyable time, their house is gorgeous.. log cabin style construction, very well maintained and designed...and dinner was fabulous. I had good wine, turnips, beets and potatoes, I brought pie and creamed onions, and there was a very yummy spinach and artichoke dish about. I definitely ate very well for the first time in months. Acknowledged the absurdity of the holiday and put my annoyances aside to have a very nice day, all told. Vegetarians always get it at family gatherings on T-day, but I got off light this year, I think. :)
Lots of randomness this afternoon.. Monty Python quoting, my father rambling about the nature of the universe, had a drive with my sister and checked out the new Type O Negative album, the first song on which I rather like... and I drank quite a bit. With food, and slowly.. never drunk or even tipsy, just quietly and pleasantly buzzed. I like Syrah and Shiraz so much more than Merlot. Red over white right now.. we'll see how my wine tastes evolve.
They have ferrets that I fell in love with.. hard not to love a tube rat that crawls up your sleeve and into your armpit at the first opportunity. :)
I'm going to ride this crest of pleasantness into bed. We'll see what comes my way tomorrow.
Later.
