artemis42Thank the gods that my therapy these days is also my work. My antique wheel wanted some attention, so the superfine rose quartz merino was chosen to see how well it drafted down thin from the roving, while hung from the distaff. It worked most of the time, which isn't bad at all.
Perhaps next time I can get it even thinner.. but then a production photo won't quite work anymore until it's yarn, plied and finished. I already have a few lovely skeins made up from this bobbin of merino, and more ideas for pretty color combinations.
Speaking of color.. I'm wearing a fantastically comfy new purple-as-my-mom's-entire-wardrobe clearance rack hemp! skirt that I've been in hanging out in quite a bit since this past weekend. It's nice to sit at the wheel and spin in it, at any rate. Spinner's guild meeting was wonderful this afternoon, and helped a great deal to focus me back in on doing useful things with my hands. Like turning fluff into gorgeous yarn.

Flying High On Your Wine
Cupbearer, stain us with the color of your wine.
