Spinning corner..
Jan. 27th, 2007 05:36 pmI finally tidied and reorganized my spinning corner so that I can sit in my chair and work on either wheel, which is nice when I get into a groove.

Today, I'll try a slightly sparkly purple and black alpaca combo, as we listen to A Prairie Home Companion. Totally domestic of me, I know.
Here's a Rumi poem for the day. I guess I'm in a superbly snuggly mood.
Later.
-Me.
-----------------------------------------
Split Wide Open
You are the essence of the Sun.
I'm only the shadow of the willow tree.
When you shine upon my head,
I get shorter, melt, and disappear.
My heart found the spark of life,
then split wide open.
My heart found your satin
and gave up this worn, patched cloth.
The embodied soul
was talking about glances and vision
in the early dawn.
I was but a slave who became a landholder
and then turned into the sultan who has everything.
