Dec. 27th, 2006 04:57 amOff to the airport to head to New Orleans in a half hour. No sense bothering to sleep when I'd just have to get up in a few minutes anyway. Hopefully, I'll conk out on one of the flights. Just finished packing everything and updating my mom's new iPod with the songs she'd actually like listening to. I hope she enjoys her newly gifted technological advances.. and I'm glad my sister's here to teach her how to use them.
The holiday visit home has been pretty rejuvenating for me in some senses. Got to see almost everyone, and still had time to hang out at home even with all the running around through various states.
Got a new folding spinning wheel for traveling.. it just fits inside my suitcase. I'm very pleased with it, and will post a picture eventually. Got some great consultation time in with Chris about ideas for turning yarns into a solid business.
My father has been sick on and off all week, and is now in the midst of some intense joint pain that's kept him in bed all week. He's one of the kind of men that never admits to being in pain, so when he's groaning and not getting out of bed, we know something's just not right. He went in for a checkup yesterday, and he's got another appointment today, so I'll be nervously waiting to hear the results of all the tests. Prayers or good energy for his healing would be appreciated.
I'm tired. It will only be worse as the day wears on. *sigh*
Later.
