artemis42The flight to CT went well, even with the 3 hour layover in Philly. Tired as hell last night, but sleep has been obtained, as well as tea and breakfast, so I'm at least functional. It is so much goodness to be home, even to have Murphy making the screechy noise of death at me.
I've missed my feathery ones so much. My mom surprised me by moving my old bed and it's twin into my sister's old room for us to sleep on, and I even get to sleep in my own old room on the 24th. Hurrah!
Dad had the hot tub ready for us when we got in, which was so many degrees of awesome. We shall go out with my mom later, but for now, we're just chilling with the birds, and I've installed iTunes onto my old Lime iMac so mom can use it as a music machine.

Date: 2006-12-14 02:25 pm (UTC)We sat with mom last night and walked her through the basics of iTunes.. My old Lime iMac is still running OS 9, so I've had to install an older version, 2.0, so the only feature it has is streaming internet radio. We have broadband, so that works well. At the very least, sbe can now put a CD in and play it with track listings.. she's still too new to want to make playlists of things and mess around with it, but that's fine. The HD is only 6 Gig, so there's only so much she can do with it. For now, it's enough. Perhaps next year I can get a new computer and give her my old one so she's more up-to-date. Of course, then I'll have to teach her how to use OSX. :P
