Munchkin Bites and other snacks..
Nov. 4th, 2006 10:13 pmAfter saying hi at the Bio happy hour on Friday night, we came home to get the place clean before people joined us to play Munchkin Bites before the evening's viewing of Alien.
I really wasn't in the place for suspense and watching the crew get hunted down and killed, so I hung out and knitted in the hall after the chest-explody bit, and had a very nice chat with some of the theatre employees, one of whom turned out to be a browncoat. Much lively Joss Whedon related geekery ensues. I like this theatre more and more every time.
Came home and finished the game, and then H went to bed while I stayed up and wrote more brainstorming notes, but precious little actual nano writing before sleep claimed me around 7am. Finally got up again around 4 this evening and made what to me was breakfast, but to the rest of the world would have been an early supper. Now we are chilling in the office, writing various things on our respective computers as the people on the porch next to our window get more progressively drunk.
My personal goal is to get to 10K by Monday morning, but with the large and loud party going on nextdoor tonight and my twitchy desire to be spinning or knitting, I've been having trouble actually sitting down to write for longer than an hour at a time. Perhaps more tasty pumpkin ale is needed.
At the very least, I now have a much clearer idea of what is going on with my story, so when I do get to writing, it will be to plaster wordflesh onto the skeletal story armature in my head.
Later.
-Me.
