Weekend spinning..
Oct. 23rd, 2006 02:31 amWell, since I spent more time snuggled on the couch showing Henri old episodes of the Simpsons Halloween specials I'd taped off TV a million years ago than behind the wheel today, I only have a half-full bobbin of spun wool to show, but yesterday was downright prolific.

4 balls of single ply wool, 2 in a mottled green and 2 in a rainbow pattern I hope will knit up nicely. I'm still trying to decide if I should ply one of them or not. We shall see how adventurous I'm feeling tomorrow.. or today, since it's 2am. *grin*
Later.

Date: 2006-10-26 01:12 am (UTC)I'm completely in love with my wheel.. I bought the antique one that's sitting in my livingroom this afternoon. I'll probably post about it later, we're on our way out to a meeting at Stanford in a few minutes.
I recommmend getting a drop spindle, if you don't already have one, and getting proficient with that before deciding on a wheel.. I'm still spinning my silk and soy silk on drop spindles, as I like the greater attention I can pay to consistency with the spindle at the moment.
*hugs to you*
