artemis42Spent the solstice night in Cambridge with beloveds and had a really good time, which was exactly what I needed in the midst of so much craziness. Every time I'm out there, part of me is rejuvenated after all the grinding down. It helps a lot to keep me together when I'm stressed, perhaps even more than I'd realized, and I need all the help I can get of late.
Came home after work on Thursday and spent some quality time with J, then got up and went to work in the deli cafe tonight. Very busy, but that was entirely expected.
Murphy's dealing with an intestinal infection, which is never very fun, and so I will not be heading to CT tonight as I had hoped, but instead I'll head down to Northampton for the night, and come back up here to take care of them tomorrow before I go to spend the weekend with my family. Hopefully my sister will honor my request to let me sleep in my own damn bed tomorrow night. :)
J&A are awesome, and will look in on my feathery charges on Sunday so that I can spend the time at home instead of having to drive back up here after the family gathering. Hooray!!
I'll wish my dad a happy birthday on Monday and drive back up here, then to work in VT.
Time to head out so I can give my dears their Yule gifts and get to unwinding.
