Up a tree, no kitty to rescue..

The adventures continue.. Wednesday night found us hanging out with friends, having good conversation over snacks and tea. Thursday I was on my own, got some review work done and then went out to Half Moon Bay with a good buddy for some great Indian food and time spent hanging out on the beach, watching the waves pound the shore and the sun setting behind the clouds.

Headed back to the city, got an incredibly timed call from Henri alerting us to the kirtan that was happening at the Yoga Society of San Francisco's Brahmananda Ashram, and we made our way over just in time to join the Vedic fire homa (ceremony) and stay for kirtan, which was lovely. I was invited to lead a chant, an impromptu opportunity I'm grateful for. It's been amazing how much I've still gotten to play harmonium and practice while I've been out here, even though I had to leave my own harmonium in CT.

No specific plans for today, might hook up with another friend, might just hang out while Henri is reading and get some more of my own work done. I'm still waiting to hear back about my weekend plans, not sure what will unfold, but I know it will likely be awesome.

And the keeping away is drawing me in..

Just got the response, and I'll be heading up to Devi Mandir on Sunday morning early to chant the Chandi Path with Shree Maa and Swamiji, an opportunity that maybe comes once in a lifetime if you're very lucky. Deep gratefulness.. I'm excited, but deliberately trying to have no expectations, just to be present with whatever happens, whatever comes up.

Got some good work done today, had some synchronicitous conversations and now I'm just here, blissed out and looking forward to midnight yoga.
