Back in California..
Jan. 8th, 2008 09:37 pmThe trip went well, altogether. I'm extremely thankful for the luck we had in not getting stuck in the Chicago airport on the 26th. My stomach has decided that air travel sucks.
I slept for 18 hours once we got back to the apartment. I feel much more like a human being now, and less like a zombie.
Ran errands with H today, enjoyed the rain, and the green grasses poking up all over that were still brown and dead when we left in December. The neighbor that looks in on things was awesome and took down all my plants off the rail during the storm, and the entire porch is still covered in debris from the pine tree shedding everywhere in the wind.
Cleaned out the refrigerator and freezer, since a 19-hour power outage isn't very kind to ice cream. Now to get to the fish tank, which is extraordinarily filthy. Thankfully, the battery backup air pump came on when the power went out and kept the fishies alive. Makes me so glad I bought it, since we don't have a generator here like we do at home in New England.
This week, I need to do my taxes and get some headway made on the website text, and perhaps begin to warp my new loom for the first time.
Later.
-Me.
