redrum... redrum...

Friday went pretty well, overall. I got up and wandered over to the studio to spin for an hour or two, then came home, made dip and got ready for the party we were heading off to. I was a bit nervous for a bit, then struck up some pleasant conversations and felt fine. The dip was a big hit, as always, which was almost comforting. From there we wandered over to the Halloween party happening on Stanford campus in front of the mausoleum, but they were having massive tech difficulty and there was no music, just a few hundred people milling about confused. We bailed and headed for the theatre after a few minutes to scare ourselves with The Shining.

We started talking with the guys behind us at the theatre when one of them commented on my Dawn lunchbox and cloak, and they formed an impromptu cheering squad with Henri when I got called up to the front to participate in.. you guessed it... another trivia contest. Due to an easy early question and lucky placement in line, as well as the girl I was facing off against at the end sort of not trying at all to do a Jack Nicholson impression, I won a pair of free tickets to the theatre! The movie was awesome on the big screen, and we ended up going out to Denny's afterward to hang out and talk to the guys we'd met.. both gamers.

Got up a little while ago, and now we head off to the city for the Spiral Dance. Should be an awesome night.
