Doors to nowhere..
Sep. 12th, 2006 07:55 pmI'm doing a bit better, after spending most of this past week in bed and doing a bit of writing. Still homesick and sad, but I'm at least functional.
We went to San Jose this afternoon to visit the Winchester Mystery House, which was interesting enough that I'm considering putting in an application to work there as a tour guide, we shall see.. we also stopped in at the new vegan restaurant downtown, Good Karma, which had extremely tasty food.
We go back over to Stanford tomorrow afternoon to meet up with Henri's advisor and discuss his class choices.. we met 2 of the other grad students in the department when we went by on Monday to get ID cards and such.. pretty cool people, and they're definitely doing interesting research.
Thanks to the sun, the heat and the small amount of sleep I got last night, I am now braindead. Time to make a pot of tea and finish knitting the piece I'm working on with the soy silk I finished spinning in Chicago. Then I sleeep.
