Monday, monday...
May. 22nd, 2006 11:41 pmSpent a very pleasant weekend here in Northampton, with Henri and the friends who were able to make it up to hang out. Woke up to a flat tire as I was on my way to pick H up from the bus stop, and thankfully my Escort is still here and roadworthy, so it wasn't a total disaster. We had a pleasant lunch at Paul and Elizabeth's, then came home to get the spare tire put on, and get ready for people to come by. Dip was consumed, Jyhad played, wine drunk, Bill Hicks and Bill Maher's spoken word work enjoyed, all in all a lovely night.
Got to spend some time with Dave and Henri listening to The Prophet on vinyl before J&A came home on Sunday, and later we started to watch Kiss Me Kate... until the power went out for a few hours, so I played the guitar for a bit, got out the Mad Magazine game, lit candles and we created our own electricity-free entertainment. *grin* The power came back with enough time for us to finish the movie before H and I went out to Cambridge to sleep.
Had an uneventful night at work tonight, and tomorrow I'll head out early to get a new tire, then come back and watch a movie after work with J&A. Wednesday morning should find me making calls and preparing for next weekend's lighting gig, then working in the evening, Thursday I'll be here for another movie with J&A, and Friday I'll work, then meet up with H in Springfield on the way to CT for the first weekend of lighting. Just 2 shows this year, the first as designer and board-op, the second as designer and partial stage manager. Yaay!
It will be nice to have Monday the 29th off.. it's really the only day off I'll have between now and the 10th of June. *phew* I'll just have to make sure I get lots of sleep and take good care of myself so I actually make it through the next 3 weeks intact.
Off to fetch myself some dinner and watch the tail end of the Bill Maher disc.
