Much more like myself...
Mar. 24th, 2006 12:55 amThe past few days have felt extraordinarily productive, now that I have a bit more of my sanity back. Funds are finally being disbursed, bills paid, laundry done, phone calls made, and more stuff unpacked and put away.
Now that I know we'll be going to California in July/August, people are popping up out of the woodwork, wanting to check in and hang out before I go away, which is awesome and makes me more aware of and grateful for the support network that has surrounded me here in New England. I will do my best to make time to chill with everyone.. who knows, I may end up trying to organize a few gatherings so I can make the most of a limited amount of time. I'll certainly be trying to get a Jyhad game together in the next few weeks, we'll see what people's schedules look like.
Spent a quiet evening in with J tonight, I got to make a really decent wild mushroom soup with porcinis, maitake, shiitake and crimini and a half-pint of fresh cream. Watched Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which was a collection of bad puns, and thoroughly hilarious.
This weekend looks nice and low-key, I'll be here chilling on Friday night after work, or whenever I get back here from Brattleboro, and I'll get some good sleep on Saturday morning, then get up and try to get as many boxes rearranged and unpacked as possible, then meet up with H in the evening. We'll get some time to hang out before he heads back out to Boston on Sunday evening, and then a new week begins.
So nice to see the first stirrings of green things beginning to poke their way out from the dirt, just as I begin to come back out of a particularly deep hibernatory state. Welcome spring!
