artemis42: (Crow - Try Harder)
Lupercalia was lovely, and I enjoyed a pleasant evening at Hartford Stage this past Thursday, seeing A Raisin In The Sun with my mother. The performance was excellent, and it was good to have some time to hang out with my mom, and with my sister later in the evening. Worked in Vermont on Friday, then drove back down to CT, stopping along the way to retrieve Henri from the bus station.

This weekend's art project certainly didn't go as planned, but there were definitely good bits. Art happened, but most of it was created by the rest of my family, as I was busy throwing up, thanks to a stomach bug that seems to have been going around in Brattleboro, or so I've found out since going back to work. At any rate, I spent most of Saturday night and well into the evening on Sunday sick, alternating between sweating and shivering uncontrollably, and constantly nauseous. 24 hours of capital F for Fun. I finally got some sleep on Sunday night, and some small amount of food in me on Monday.

Though I was pretty miserable, it was nice to be at home, and there were some moments of lucidity in there that were decent. Had some excellent conversations, and my parents sat down and finally did some drawing together for the first time in a few years, so in my mind the weekend was mostly a success for everyone else.

I've gone in to work, but only made it partway through the shift both yesterday and today, and I'm home now hanging out instead of going to the Haven anniversary or anything else, in an attempt to make sure I'll be feeling better tomorrow.

I'll be hanging out tomorrow night with my buddy Dex in Keene, discussing movies and life, and then Thursday morning finds me at work for an early meeting and a day shift. I'll be in Northampton on Thursday night, then to work on Friday, and then I'm spending the weekend with Jonathan and Allison, in honor of our putting up with each other for a year now. :)

Nine Inch Nails on Monday..... and I'm really looking forward to it. Then I pack, and begin to deal with slowly moving my stuff around again. Hopefully that will go well, and the process of getting my feet back under me can get off to a good start.

Now, to finish some of this paperwork and head to bed. I still feel a little like I've been kicked in the stomach repeatedly, and sleep will hopefully make this a bit better.

Later.
