Wandering about..
Nov. 10th, 2005 03:21 pmDrove out to Cambridge last night after work, being horribly impatient to snuggle in with my Usul. Hopeless, I know. *grin*
The trip was a little hairy in spots, took some backroads through Hinsdale on repeated suggestion from Jim, and the thunderstorming and heavy rain didn't help any. Made decent time though, and I only got soaked walking back out to my car once I'd gotten here.
Strange dreams this morning, involving being bitten by a large grey python, and running to get my mom to drive me to the hospital.. which she seemed to think could wait until she picked up some flowers. Got to the hospital, and instead of injecting an anti-venom, they sprayed my hand with some stuff from a bottle labeled: Snake Anti-Venom, from the makers of Citra-Solv! I of course, questioned the wisdom of this, since after all, the venom was inside my body killing me, and not on my hand. What citrus oils would do for snakebite is also questionable. *laughs*
Allison got me a Diva Cup, and I think it is amazingly nifty, and much more comfortable than I'd expected. I'd considered the Keeper for a while since I saw it at the co-op, but this one is made of clear silicon, and not latex rubber. If you are biologically predisposed to dealing with menstruation, you should check this out. If you are not, and you have women friends or a female SO, get one for them. It almost pays for itself in a few months, since you won't be buying disposable tampons or pads, and no more filling up landfill space or worrying about TSS. Thank you again, honey.. :)
Wandered about a bit this afternoon, found 2 new gel pens in colors I'd never seen before, and visited the highly nifty co-op across the street. Tonight will probably involve seeing Corpse Bride and hanging out.. it's been a darn good day off so far. Now to resume searching for schools in this area that I might be interested in applying to.
Tomorrow I head out to work from here, and I should be home afterwards. Less worrying about things, more action to change the circumstances. This should help, in theory anyway.
Later.
-Me.
