Happy Hipocrisy Feast Day..
Nov. 27th, 2003 12:09 amPrevious rantings on the hatred I hold for this holiday really don't go far enough, but I won't bother venting here. I work retail grocery... I detest this holiday by default at the moment, since it means people are insane and I don't get home from work until after 10 at night.
Anyway.. still no word from J, so I'll put aside my anger and worry and attempt to have a good day tomorrow, whatever it is I end up doing. My family will be in Colrain, and J's mom and brother will be going to the community dinner here in town at the River Garden, and I have dishes of my own that I'm going to make no matter where I go. I have Friday and Saturday off.. not sure what I'll do, other than my radio show on Saturday evening, so we'll see what I decide to occupy my time with, other than lots of sleeping. :)
Maybe someone will come up and visit me, since I have no money to spend on gas right now, and lots of food and wine to give to people I like.. not to mention that my space will be minus a roommate, who will be with family in NH, so I may find myself kind of lonely if my delinquent partner never shows up. *shrug* We'll see who's around in the days to come. I'm just going to be open to anything that comes my way for a while. Tired of being neurotic and in pain. Not enough fun and giggling.
I'm going to go read some more of the Warren Ellis book I borrowed from my Jyhad buddy.. called Come In Alone, and it's a collection of essays about the comics industry. Warren's good at writing utter bastards like his main character in Transmetropolitan, Spider Jerusalem.... he seems to be one himself.. but his essay style is engaging, intelligent and funny as hell. Very very British. I can almost forgive him for being a prick to my friend Steve Bissette.. almost, but not quite.
Later.
-Me.
