Happy Valentine's Day...
Feb. 14th, 2002 09:14 pmWelll... here I am in Vermont. The move went much better than I expected it to, and now that my phone has finally been set up, I am once again in communication with the outside world. Yay.
My job at the head shop is boring as hell, and I am looking forward to moving on with my life in another month or so. I started at the Co-op today, and that feels much more familiar and comfortable, especially after putting up with the Vitamin Dungeon for the past year. :P
At least there I'm being paid reasonably well, and I have much hope for advancement in the next few months. All told, I'm settling into my new routine pretty well.
I've begun taking Budo again, which is a much-needed discipline for both my body and my mind. I really loved it 2 years ago, and from what I can tell, the classes have only improved. :)
Tonight, I am sitting in my livingroom and listening to the Hannibal soundtrack while enjoying a glass of White Zin. I made myself a fabulous V-Day dinner of spiral semolina vegetable pasta and a decadent Porcini and black Truffle sauce. Add some slices of fresh honey-oat bread, and that's amore for the palette. :)
Nice to be able to spoil myself, knowing that I can cook reasonably well.
I'm going to go lie down on my futon now and enjoy what's left of my decadent food coma. I hope the evening has been equally pleasant for the folk I love who read this. :)
Later.
-Me.
