The adventure continues...
Jan. 26th, 2002 01:47 amWelll..... there are all of 8 days left to the big move. *panic*
It should all be fine, once I get ahold of the co-op and find out if they can give me full-time hours or not. That will make a big difference to my incredible levels of budgetary stress. :)
The party promises to be mightily cool, most of the people I've invited have at least told me that they're going to show up. Of course, I'm wishing that some of my out-of-state and out-of-country friends could be here, but at least they know that I love them and am thinking of them. :)
I'm just hoping all the last-minute stuff I need will make its way through my door so I can avoid digging into my savings to get last-minute necessities, like a HEPA filter to keep me from choking on bird dander and having to dust twice a day. :P
Living in the same space as the birds again is going to take some real adjustment. I haven't shared a room with them since I lived downstairs at age 8. Now I need to devise some sort of cage cover that they can't destroy, and try to pray that my landlady and her family can deal with their occasional ned to sqwawk very loudly. *sigh*
I'm also pissed that local phone calls are toll calls in Vermont.. when the hell did this start? Ack!
Oh well. I'll eke out a living one way or another. If not, then I still have nothing to lose.
I'll just keep telling myself that. Maybe it will help the stress. :)
Later.
-Me.
