Oct. 15th, 2006 08:32 pmWent to a spinning day today at Custom Handweavers in Mountain View, and got to use a wheel for the first time, and meet several local people with varying degrees of spinning expertise. I'm pleasantly amazed by how much I was able to spin in just 2 hours on the wheel, and I'm looking forward to getting one myself. There's a lovely antique wheel that I've currently got my eye on, and as soon as it's been repaired and tested, I'll get a call about it, I hope. Funny thing is, it's almost exactly the wheel I had in mind anyway, and it would cost me a lot less than buying one new.
So, while Henri finishes reading, I'll finish plying the white wool I spun this afternoon with the multicolored merino wool I finished earlier, and then we'll heat up some leftovers and watch the Margaret Cho: Assassin DVD I rented on the way home.
Later.
