artemis42: (Crow - Try Harder)
[personal profile] artemis42
Well, before I turn in for the night tonight, I should have 21 boxes packed. I spent most of today being reasonably chill, as I was not really in great head space this morning when I woke up.. (ok, ok, it was this afternoon) and the heat didn't help much either. At the very least, I got shopping done for J&A, made fresh pesto when I got back from Whole Foods, finished spinning the last of my soy silk into single-ply thread, and had tasty oven fries for a snack.
I made pasta for dinner with fresh mozzarella, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, the pesto and chunks of heirloom tomato topped with shredded asiago cheese, accompanied by a lovely rose wine, and aside from my being brain-dead, it was very tasty.

After dinner, I showed Allison a bit of how to spin with the last of the wool fibers, which I finished and plied to the first ball of single-ply wool thread I'd already made, and now I'm looking up how to set it so that I will have completed my first hand-spun skein of wool yarn. *grin*

Tomorrow I'm making a trip into Noho for a med visit and some more fibers to spin, then up to Brattleboro, hopefully to get that haircut, and then back down here to get stuff together and bring the birds down to CT in the early evening.

Tuesday I start pulling the storage space in CT apart, doing some of the obvious sorting before Henri arrives, after which point I will be useful only for snuggling.

Later.
