Eveningtide, soreness and good news.
Jan. 9th, 2006 01:43 amFriday night's Gallery Walk cafe crowd failed completely to dampen my spirits, which was almost surprising. It was crazy busy, as usual, but I had a member worker to help me keep the place in order, which made quite a difference in overall stress levels. Of course, I also had the promise of seeing Henri when I got out of work and traveled to Cambridge. That may have been the key, since I was in a pretty good mood when I left the co-op, but still rather tired.
Hung out talking late Friday night, slept in on Saturday and got up to make scrambled eggs of cheesy goodness. Wandered off into the woods for a bit with J&S, and came back to play a close game of Jyhad, with the Kiasyd squaring off against the Gangrel. The vampire fairies won, but I only had 3 pool left, thanks to the armies of rats gnawing on their feet. The Kiasyd are sneaky. They bleed for quite a bit. But I also like the showing the other deck made, since it needs to be able to do something against stealth other than wave, and it didn't get to draw too far in, and still gave me a run for my money. Yay.
We drew up a Mage: The Ascension character for me, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll come up with for the story, as he was creating NPC's while I slept this morning. *grin*
I woke up with a sore throat of doom and the beginnings of a chest/head cold, unfortunately, and though I made it through the evening of work, I'm staying home in bed tomorrow.
Good news came in the mail this evening.. one of my big medical bills is being covered by the Free Care program at BMH! Hallelujah! One down, two to go...
My body's telling me to sleep, and so I shall.. after I finish the mug of tea I'm nursing, and this chapter in The Doors of Perception.
Aldous Huxley is telling me stories.
Sssssh.
Later.
-Me.
